Synchro was asked to design and build a new manufacturing facility for Hempel Coatings (headquartered in Copenhagen) that is a modern and automated facility in the United States to minimize labor, while improving quality and achieving higher levels of production. Environmental and ergonomic considerations were given high priority in the design. Synchro provided a host of services beyond design and construction management which included development services in land acquisition and ancillary engineering services required by production. This facility houses raw materials space, filling areas, finished goods warehouse, testing laboratories and adjoining office/administrative area for customers and visiting employees. The project included various specialty engineers and contractors due to the proprietary nature of the clients’ processes. This project was completed in 1999.
